We have a date. The meeting was confirmed just after 2:00PM today. The meeting with super-conciliator, BOE and HTEA will take place on Tuesday August 28th from 10:00AM until 6:00PM. We have no further information at this time. We will pass on any additional information as we receive it.
A little summer reading: the Governor visits a school in Lakewood. He also hosts a meeting on the boardwalk in Ocean City. Here he responds to a teacher’s question-a teacher that appears to have supported his election. The articles are from the Asbury Park Press and NJ.com respectively. The following APP article confirms what you already know, the rich got richer and the rest of us, not so much.
We will send out another email within two weeks even if we do not have new information. We remain hopeful the Contract can be resolved before ten month employees enter the schools for the first time on September 1. Thank you for keeping yourself informed.
We were hopeful that we would have more information for you by now- but we don’t. This is what we have as of today. The super-conciliator has several dates available in August. We are awaiting confirmation of dates with the BOE. We have no additional information at this time. Once we have something definite, we will send out another update immediately.
The HTEA was optimistic that we could continue negotiations before meeting with the super-conciliator. The BOE, however, did not respond to the last Association offer put forward by Ron Villano. We’ll send out another email within two weeks even if the situation remains status quo.
